Providence Orlando Expands New Home Selection with Golf Cottages, Spotlights Breast Cancer Community Fundraising

Davenport, Fla (October 2, 2014). — This will be a busy month for Providence Golf and Country Club Community, just southwest of Orlando in Polk County. The gated luxury community, planned and built by ABD Development with neighborhoods by nationally recognized builders, has been going strong since 2006. October will be newsworthy for ABD as it breaks ground on Sherbrook Springs, the highly anticipated golf cottage neighborhood. The community is also very active this month for an array of breast cancer research fundraisers and events.

After a member of the Providence Book Club was lost to breast cancer in 2012, friends and residents have gotten behind the cause of prevention and education to raise money and awareness about this too often fatal disease. Events planned for this year include a golf tournament on October 4th, Pink Party with silent auction on October 10th, Community Yard Sale on November 8th, and several other functions. There is also a calendar on sale for charity featuring “Hot Cars and Classy Chicks”. 100 percent of the money raised by the Providence “Booby Brigade” goes to the American Cancer Society.

“The biggest event for our amazing team of organizers is the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K Walk on October 25th in Orlando,” explains ABD Development President, Yuval Botansky. “The first year the Providence team was awarded Silver Strider status for raising $5000, last year they achieved Gold Strider with $15,000 raised. We think the sky is the limit with these ladies and we support them in whatever way we can. When a community we build comes together like this to help others, it is a great feeling for us that goes beyond success as a developer winning awards.”

In the mean time, ABD Development has announced the availability of its new golf cottage models in the cozy section of Providence known as Sherbrook Springs. With water and golf course views, the 68 lots available to build on are in high demand. The models available are comfortable while still maintaining the feeling of efficiently designed space, either on one or two stories, and all with two car garages. After achieving numerous accolades for the Courtyard single family home model series, ABD chose to include golf cottage versions of this model as well.
